Patel Optical

I have a little shop called Patel Optical. You can find me at A 7 in the Ramkrishna Society, which is on the D P Road section of Varachha Road. I am right across from the SMC Party Plot, which is a big place that everyone knows. I have been fixing spectacles and helping people with their eyesight for many years. The shop is small and the walls are covered with all kinds of frames. In the back, I have a small machine that I use to cut the lenses to the right size. It makes a loud grinding noise when I turn it on, but it gets the job done. I usually sit behind the glass counter and wait for people to bring me their prescriptions. Sometimes people just come in because their glasses are crooked or they need a small screw replaced. I try to do those small repairs while they wait. The lights in the shop are very bright so I can see the tiny parts I am working with. It gets busy in the evening when people are heading home. I run the shop by myself, so if I am already helping someone, you might have to wait a few minutes on the wooden bench. I usually keep a small radio playing in the corner. It is a quiet and steady life here in the society.
