V. L. Lace

We are over at No. 174 Sonal Industrial 1 in Shakti Nagar, right in the Udhna area. It’s pretty busy around here with all the other shops and workshops. If you know the Shubham Resident building or the Satyam Tower in Pramukh Park, we are just opposite those. Being in Pandesara, Surat means there is always a lot of movement. We handle lace work. It is what we do every day. The machines run a lot and there is usually a bit of thread everywhere on the floor when we are busy. We have been in this spot for a while now. It isn't a fancy office or anything, just a workspace where we get things done. People come by to check on their orders or just to see what kind of patterns we have ready. We don't really do big advertisements. Most folks just find us because they are in the textile business too. Surat is a big place for this kind of work, so we just try to keep up with the demand. The weather gets hot in the afternoons but we stay focused on the lace. It’s a lot of manual checking to make sure things look right before they leave. We just open up in the morning, start the day, and work through until it’s time to go home. Nothing too complicated about it. We just make lace and try to stay organized in the middle of a busy industrial estate. It's a lot of work but we like it.
