Prince Optical & Perfume

Prince Optical & Perfume is located right in Udhnagam. It’s a bit of a mixed shop because we like both things. On one side you’ve got the glasses and frames, and on the other, the bottles of perfume. It makes the whole shop smell really nice, which people always comment on when they walk in. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases because fingerprints show up so easily. Udhnagam is a place where people are always moving, so we get a lot of foot traffic. Some people just come in to see what’s new or to try on a pair of sunglasses. We don’t push anyone to buy anything; we just let them look around. We have a small mirror in the back where people check their look. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so it’s not very formal. We might be eating our lunch in the back when someone comes in, and we just wipe our hands and come out to help. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright so people can see the details of the frames. We stay open late most nights because that’s when the neighborhood really wakes up. It’s a good little business and we enjoy talking to the regulars who live just down the street. It’s a simple life selling things that help people see better and smell better without making a big fuss about it.
