Shield Fabrication

Shield Fabrication is situated at Plot No. 32 in the Shiv Shankar Parvati Society. We are over in Bhatni Wadi, right near the Ambika Dairy & Sweet shop. If you smell the sweets from the dairy, you are probably very close to our gate. The workshop is usually full of sparks and the sound of grinding metal. It’s a small operation but we stay busy with the work that comes in from the neighborhood and the surrounding areas. We started this because we liked building things with our hands. It is not always easy and some days the machines don't want to cooperate. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the workbench and the tools we use every day. Most of our customers are locals who just walk in and ask if we can fix something or make a gate for them. We sit around on plastic chairs during lunch and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a humble place and we don't try to be anything else. The floors are covered in metal shavings and the walls are a bit stained from the smoke. We don't mind it though because it shows we’ve been working hard. We don't use big words to describe what we do, we just take the metal and turn it into what is needed. That is all there is to it at our shop. We are just local people doing local work and making ends meet every single week.
