The traffic on Varachha Road is really something you have to see to believe. Our spot, Om Auto Garage, is situated right there near the Saboo Siddque Road 63 intersection. It is a pretty messy place if I am being honest. There are old tires stacked up in the corner and oil stains all over the concrete floor that never really go away no matter how much we scrub. My hands are usually completely black with grease by ten in the morning and it stays that way until I go home. We spend the whole day bending over engines or hitting bits of metal with heavy wrenches. The sun beats down on the metal roofs around here and it gets really hot inside the garage during the afternoon. We have a small wooden bench where customers can sit if they want to wait, but it is usually covered in a layer of dust. There is a lot of shouting back and forth over the sound of the horns and engines outside on the street. I keep all my tools in a big red chest that is missing one of its wheels. People bring in their old bikes and cars that have not been running right for a long time. We do what we can with the tools we have. It is loud and dirty work but I like the sound of a motor finally starting. (250 words)
