Located over in Rander near Sadashiv Peth 12, Shreeji Auto Garage is basically just a spot where we spend our days fixing what’s broken. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when we have three cars in and a couple of bikes waiting out front. The air always smells like old oil and burnt rubber, which I guess you get used to after a few weeks. We don't do anything fancy here. There’s no air-conditioned waiting room or guys in suits. It’s just me and a couple of others getting our clothes ruined while we poke around inside engines. Some days are slow and we just sit on the stools outside watching the traffic go by on the street. Other days, everyone shows up at once with a flat tire or an engine that won't start in the rain. We handle whatever comes our way, from simple oil changes to taking an entire gearbox apart because something isn't shifting right. It can be frustrating when we can't find a specific part right away, but we usually manage to figure it out eventually. The neighborhood is alright, and we’ve got a good relationship with the tea stall nearby. People around here know us as the guys who are always covered in soot. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to get things back on the road.
