Bhramani Auto Garage

Bhramani Auto Garage is located on Anand Mahal Road, specifically at 17th G Main in the 6th Block. It is a real garage, meaning there is grease on the floor and the smell of petrol in the air. We don't have a clean waiting room with magazines. We just have the workshop where we fix cars and scooters. My clothes are always stained with oil and dirt, no matter how much I wash them. We spend our days under car hoods or lying on our backs on the ground looking at exhaust pipes. It’s heavy work and it makes your muscles ache by the end of the day. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood who trust us with their vehicles. They know we won't try to fix things that aren't broken. Sometimes it’s just a simple spark plug change, and other times we have to pull the whole engine apart. We don’t have the latest diagnostic computers, we mostly just listen to the engine and figure it out from experience. It’s loud in here when the fans are going and the tools are clanking against the metal. The sun hits the front of the shop in the morning and it gets quite hot, so we drink a lot of water. We’re just a bunch of mechanics doing our job the old-fashioned way without any fuss or expensive equipment that isn't really needed for most jobs.
