Sanskar Caterers

Sanskar Caterers is based in Pancholi Sheri, in the Agano Vad area. If you know the old parts of the city, you know how narrow these lanes can be. We operate out of an old building that has been in use for a long time. It has a lot of character, but the walls are a bit crooked and the floors are uneven. We do all our prep work right here. In the mornings, you can hear the sound of knives hitting wooden boards from all the way down the street. It is a very traditional neighborhood. We know all the families around here and they know us. We don't do much in the way of marketing or anything like that. Word of mouth is how we get most of our jobs. When there is a big order, the whole street knows because of the smells wafting out of our windows. We have a small crew of workers who are basically like family now. They know the routine and they don't need much direction. Sometimes we have to carry heavy pots quite a distance because the vans can't fit into the narrowest parts of the sheri. It is a lot of physical labor and by the end of the day, everyone is exhausted. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure we don't forget anything in the kitchen.
