Mysore House

We are over on Varachha Road in Surat, which is a very active area. Our place is right across from Motinagar Society and not far from the Civilized Circle. Most people in this part of Nana Varaccha are used to local food, so we bring something a bit different with our Mysore style items. It is a long way from Karnataka to Gujarat, but we make it work here. The shop is simple and we don't spend much on fancy decorations. We just have our kitchen and the seating area. In the mornings, we get people stopping by before they head to work. The traffic on Varachha Road can be a bit much sometimes, but that keeps the area lively. We have a small team here and we mostly just talk to each other and the customers who have been coming for months. It feels good when someone from the neighborhood recognizes us. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the lunch crowd because things can get messy when it is busy. The kitchen stays pretty warm all day. We do not have a big corporate setup, it is just us running the show every day. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the crowd is bigger than we expected. We just try to keep things moving along steadily. It is a lot of work but it is what we do here in Surat. We hope people feel comfortable sitting here for a bit even if it is a bit loud.
