Ganga Exports Surat

You can find us at S-3240 in the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road. If you know that market, you know how crazy it gets. There are thousands of shops and everyone is in a hurry. Our stall is tucked away on one of the upper floors. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. Ring Road is always jammed with traffic, so getting to the market in the morning can take forever. Once we are inside, it’s a different world. We spend the day talking to traders and moving bundles of cloth. The air is always thick with the smell of new fabric. Ganga Exports Surat is just our little corner of this massive place. We have a small stool for guests and a tiny desk where we keep the bills. It’s loud, and you have to shout sometimes to be heard over the people in the hallway. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the stock piled up high. The lights are bright fluorescent tubes that hum a little bit. We take our lunch when there is a quiet moment, which isn't very often. By the time we close the shutters at night, we are pretty worn out. It’s a tough environment, but it’s where all the action is, so we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We often have to navigate around the porters who carry huge bales on their shoulders, which makes the narrow halls even more of a challenge every single day.
