Our place is down on the ground floor of the Millennium Textile Market on Ring Road. We have two units, B-1045 and 1046. If you have ever been to the market, you know how hectic it gets. There are people everywhere and everyone is always in a hurry to move their goods. We spend our days surrounded by piles of fabric and different clothes. The Ring Road area is always jammed with traffic, so getting to work can be a bit of a headache most mornings. Once we are inside, it is all about getting the stock sorted out. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls. It is a market shop, so it is built for work, not for looking pretty. We deal with a lot of different people every single day. Some are regular faces we have known for years and others are just passing through the market for the first time. The air conditioning in the building works okay most of the time, which is a big relief in the summer. We keep the doors open so people can see what we have on the tables. It is a lot of lifting and moving heavy boxes around. My back usually aches by the end of the shift. We are not trying to be the biggest shop in the whole market. We just want to do our work and go home. It is a basic operation.
