Shree Gitanjali Lace

We are located on the second floor of the Sai Krupa Industrial building, right near the HTC Market in the Anjana Farm area. Getting up to our space means climbing some narrow stairs that can be a bit steep if you are carrying rolls of material. Our unit is number 81, and it is where we do all our lace work. The room is filled with the sound of machines clicking away as they make different patterns. There are bits of thread and lace scraps all over the floor, no matter how many times we try to sweep them up. It is a busy environment with people moving between the machines and the packing area. We don't have a lot of extra space, so we stack the finished lace rolls high up against the walls. The windows are small and don't let in much light, so we have to use bright electric lights to see the fine details of the thread. It gets pretty warm in here during the summer months even with the big floor fans running. We are right in the middle of the textile hub, so there is always someone moving boxes in the hallway outside. It is hard work on the eyes, but we have a good group of people here who have worked together for a long time. We mostly just focus on getting the orders ready for the market nearby.
