We are located in Punagam, which is a busy part of Surat. If you live around here, you know that everyone is involved in the textile business in one way or another. Our shop is where we handle sewing machines. We have all kinds of models sitting around, from the heavy ones used in factories to the ones people keep at home. The air in Surat is often a bit humid, but inside the shop, we just focus on the gears and the thread tension. We spend a lot of time showing people how to thread the machines correctly or fixing a motor that gave up. It is not a glamorous job, but it is necessary. People in Punagam know they can just drop in when their machine starts making a funny noise. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sell things people don't need. Usually, it is just a matter of cleaning out some lint or replacing a broken belt. The shop gets crowded with parts and machines waiting for repair, but we know where everything is. We have been doing this for quite a while now. Every day we open up, sweep the front, and wait to see who needs help with their stitching. It’s just us and the machines, making sure the work keeps moving in this part of Gujarat.
