Musky Software Solutions

Our small office is up here in Baramulla in Syed Karim Sahib. Most people think of Kashmir as just mountains and snow but for us it is where we sit at our desks and work on the computers. Musky Software Solutions is not a big glass building like you see in the movies. It is just a modest room where we try to keep the heaters running during the winter months. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the weather but we manage. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking about how to fix things. The local market is nearby so there is always some noise from the street. We drink a lot of pink tea to keep warm while we are typing away. It is a simple setup really. We know most of the people who live around Syed Karim Sahib and they know where to find us if they need anything. We don’t really do fancy meetings or wear suits. It’s mostly just jeans and warm sweaters because the air gets quite chilly. Working in Baramulla has its own rhythm and we have gotten used to the pace of life here. Some days are busier than others but we just take it as it comes. It feels good to be part of the community and doing our work right here where we grew up. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done. The view from the window is quite nice when the clouds clear up and you can see the hills.
