Our location is at 12 A in the Government Residential Quarters in Bemina, Srinagar. It is quite a different setting compared to the big city offices in the south. The weather here can be really cold, especially during the winters when the snow piles up outside the windows. We have to keep the heaters going all day just to stay comfortable while we work. The view of the mountains on a clear day is probably the best part of being stationed here. Sometimes the internet connection gets a bit slow when the weather is bad, which can be frustrating when we have deadlines. But we just deal with it and keep moving forward. Most of the people working here are locals from Srinagar, so there is a lot of chatting in the local language between tasks. We are just a small group trying to keep the systems running smoothly in this part of the country. It is steady work, and we appreciate the quiet atmosphere of the Bemina quarters as we get our daily tasks done.
