Defence

It’s a long way out here in Nittur, right in the Chandgad area of Kolhapur. Our place is easy to find if you know the post office area. Life moves a bit slower in this part of Maharashtra, which suits us just fine. We go by the name Defence, and mostly we’re just a group of locals working together. The rains can be heavy here, so some days we spend more time keeping the water out than anything else. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff, just a door and a phone that rings when it feels like it. People around the village know where we are. We handle various tasks, mostly practical things that need doing for the folks nearby. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few rooms and some equipment. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just life in Nittur. If you're coming from the main town, it’s a bit of a drive, but the scenery is nice. We’ve been here at this address for a long time, and we don’t plan on going anywhere else. It’s home, and the work keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble. Just plain, honest work every day for the people around here.
