KYAE ENN HOTELS AND RESORTS is run out of Nazir Ahmad’s place near the Abdullah Bridge in Raj Bagh. It’s a useful spot to be because the bridge connects us to a lot of the city quite easily. We handle different hotels and resorts, focusing on the basics of making a stay comfortable. Raj Bagh has a bit of a slower pace than the rest of Srinagar, which we like. Our days are mostly filled with checking on rooms, talking to our workers, and figuring out what needs to be repaired next. There is always something that needs attention, like a stubborn door lock or a heating issue. We don't try to sound like a big corporate office because we aren't one. We’re just a group of locals who understand the hotel trade. It involves a lot of back and forth between different locations. If you’re familiar with the Abdullah Bridge area, you’ve probably walked right past us. We started this company because we know Kashmir and we know what people need when they visit. It isn't always smooth sailing, especially during the peak tourist season when everything happens at once, but we manage. Our paperwork and meetings happen right there in Raj Bagh. It’s a simple, honest way to run things. We just want to keep our properties in good shape and make sure our guests are satisfied without making a big deal out of it.
