Hotel Silver Star

Hotel Silver Star is situated right on the Byepass Road in Lasjan, Srinagar. Because we're right on the bypass, we see a whole lot of trucks and travelers moving through the outskirts of the city every day. It's a very practical spot for people who don't want to get tangled up in the heavy traffic of central Srinagar. The weather here can get quite biting, so we spend a lot of time making sure there's enough hot tea and a bit of warmth for whoever walks through our door. The building is a simple, sturdy structure on the side of the road. We have rooms that are clean enough but they aren't like those luxury suites you'd see in a travel magazine. It's a place for working people and travelers who just need a break from the road. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from mopping floors to answering the phones. The road outside is often dusty and loud during the daytime, but it usually settles down once night falls. We don't have any massive neon signs or fancy lights. Most people find us because they're just tired of driving and need a place to stop for the night. It's a straightforward business and we just try to keep things moving along. It's not a tourist resort, just an honest hotel for anyone passing through Lasjan who needs a bed.
