KAUL HOTELS PRIVATE LIMITED is located at Pratap Villa in Rajbagh, which is right by the old Government Silk Factory. If you know Srinagar, you probably know that landmark. We’re based in the Jawahar Nagar area and we’ve been around for a good while now. Running a hotel business here in Jammu and Kashmir is different from doing it anywhere else. You’ve got the cold winters to think about and making sure the boilers are actually working when the snow starts. We aren’t some big international chain with a lot of polished talk. We’re just local people who know how to run a guest house or a hotel. We spend most of our time on the ground, fixing things and talking to people who come through our doors. Rajbagh is a nice, quiet part of the city, so it’s a good place for us to be. You might see us out in the yard or dealing with some maintenance issue. That’s just the reality of the job. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure people have a decent place to stay and that they feel welcome. It’s a lot of work, and some days are better than others, but we like being part of the local community. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still here doing our thing day after day.
