Indian Army

We are the 322 Ad Regt, part of the Indian Army. Like many other units, our mail comes through C O 56 APO, specifically 3223. It’s a specific way of life when your address is a set of numbers rather than a town name. We’re an Air Defence regiment, and that keeps us busy. There’s a lot of training and maintenance that goes on day in and day out. We don’t have a fancy office with a view. Usually, we’re out in the field or in the hangers. It’s dusty work sometimes, and it definitely isn't glamorous. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look to the outside world. We just focus on our equipment and our people. The bond between everyone in the 322 is strong because we live and work so closely together. It’s a noisy environment sometimes with the gear running, but you get used to it. We take pride in just getting the job done without any fuss. The 56 APO address is a constant for us, even if we move around. It’s part of the identity of being in the service. We drink a lot of strong chai and talk about home when we have a break. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. We don't need any promotional talk to know the value of what we do here. It’s just about being ready when called upon.
