House Boat Roxana

We are based at House Boat Roxana, which you can find on Dal Lake. We are located right behind Nehru Park. It’s a different kind of life living and working on the water. We’ve been here for a long time, and the boat is more than just a business to us. It’s where we spend our days and nights. We help people who want to stay on the lake or travel around the area. It’s a simple life, mostly dictated by the weather and the water. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. We have wood and carpets and the sound of the lake hitting the side of the boat. We handle all the bookings ourselves. It’s a lot of work keeping a houseboat in good shape, but we take it one day at a time. We aren't trying to be a big travel agency. We just offer a place to stay and help with trips when people ask. You have to take a shikara to get to us, which is just part of being on Dal Lake. We’ve seen the lake change over the years, but it’s still where we belong. Most of our days are spent talking to guests or fixing things on the boat. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We aren't fancy people. We just know the lake and the city and we share that with anyone who stops by. It’s a quiet life behind Nehru Park. We’ll be here if you decide to visit.
