Working in Srinagar is a bit different because the weather really dictates how the day goes for us. In the winter, it gets quite cold and snowy, so we spend a lot of time huddled near the heaters while we work. The office is in a traditional-style building that has been around for many years. It isn’t a corporate glass building; it’s more like a local house that we use for our operations. We have been here for a long time and the locals in Rainawari know exactly where to find us. Sometimes the roads get blocked or things slow down because of the snow, but we try to keep the office open as much as we possibly can. We have a lot of files and old books stacked up in the corners of the rooms. It’s a very quiet place most of the time, which is nice. We aren't a big team, just a few people who show up and do what needs to be done. We usually drink a lot of tea to stay warm during the long work hours. The view outside is nice when the weather is clear. We don't have fancy office furniture, just old wooden desks and chairs that have served us well for years. It’s a simple existence here in Srinagar and we like it.
