Spurthy Degree College

Spurthy Degree College is situated in Rajam, which is part of the Srikakulam district. Our address is simply in Rajam, with the pin code 532409. It is a bit of a drive from the bigger cities, but we like it here. We have students coming in from all the nearby villages and towns. It is a degree college, so the students are a bit older, mostly teenagers and young adults. We have several classrooms where we hold our lectures throughout the week. The building is functional; it was built for purpose, not for show. We spend a lot of time in the office handling paperwork and registrations. In Rajam, life moves at its own pace, and the college is much the same. We do not have a massive campus with stadiums, just the essential rooms for learning. Most of the teachers live locally or commute from other parts of Srikakulam. During exam time, the whole place gets very quiet and serious. Other times, you can hear the students talking in the corridors or sitting outside between their classes. We do not do much in the way of big advertisements. People in the district know we are here if they need to get their degree. It is a straightforward place to study. We try to keep the fans running when it is hot, which is quite often. It is just us and the students.
