Village Arts

Village Arts is situated near the CNG pump in Lado Sarai, specifically at F 574 in the Mehrauli area. It is an interesting part of town with a lot of history and old buildings nearby that we enjoy seeing. Our space is filled with all sorts of artistic items and things we have picked up over time from different places. It smells a bit like wood and wet paint in here most of the time. We are not a fancy gallery with white walls. It is more of a workshop where things get made and stored on shelves. People often stumble in while they are getting gas for their car or just walking through Lado Sarai. We have stacks of stuff everywhere, and you kind of have to watch your step so you don't trip. The lighting isn't great, but it works for what we do on a daily basis. We spend our days looking at different pieces and seeing how they can be fixed or sold to someone who likes them. It is a quiet kind of life, mostly. Mehrauli has a certain vibe and we fit right into it without trying too hard. Sometimes we have a lot of visitors and other days it is just us and the dusty shelves and the tea cups. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking past our sign. It is a simple place for art.
