Vadehra Art Gallery

Located at Defence Colony 40 42 D, the gallery is a place where things are a bit quieter than the main road. The walls are thick and painted white, and we spend a lot of our time just adjusting the lights or moving frames around. It isn't like a shop where people rush in and out. Folks usually take their time looking at things on the walls. We see a mix of people, some who live nearby and some who travel from across the city. The floors are hard and sometimes you can hear your own footsteps echoing if there are only a few people inside. We’ve got large windows that let in some natural light, but mostly we rely on the spots we’ve fixed to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a job keeping the dust off everything since the city air is what it is. We keep a desk near the entrance where we sit and keep track of things. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a big loud sign or anything. It’s just a space for people to walk through and see what’s hanging up. Sometimes we have to rearrange the whole floor for a new setup, which takes all night. It’s just how we spend our days here in Def Col, keeping the space ready.
