About Surya Glass Art Collectibles – Art & Craft in South Delhi
We've been at C-153 on the first floor for a while now. Sarvodaya Enclave is a quiet enough spot most days. It's mostly just us working with glass pieces all day long. People come by sometimes to see what we've finished lately. It’s a bit dusty because of all the cutting and polishing we have to do. Sometimes the light hits the glass just right in the afternoon and the whole room brightens up. We started out small and stayed that way on purpose. Most of the stuff here is handmade and takes a long time to get one piece right. If you walk up to the first floor, you'll see the shelves full of different shapes and sizes. It's not a fancy showroom by any means. It's more of a place where things actually get made. We handle everything ourselves from start to finish. Glass is tricky to work with because it breaks so easily. You have to be patient or you lose a whole day's work in a second. My cousin helps out sometimes when we have a lot of orders to finish. We don't really do big advertising. Most people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign outside. Sarvodaya Enclave has changed over the years but our little corner remains the same. We just keep our heads down and keep working. Sometimes a customer wants something specific and we try to figure out if it's possible. It isn't always, but we try.
