Ojas Art

Ojas Art is situated at No. 1-A on the Qutab Minar Mehrauli Road. Being so close to the Qutab Minar means we see a lot of tourists and traffic passing by every single day. It’s a very old part of the city, and that kind of atmosphere definitely rubs off on the place. We aren’t a typical stuffy gallery. The space is a bit more relaxed than that. We have paintings and sculptures tucked into different corners, and sometimes it feels a bit cluttered. We spend our time looking at new pieces and talking to artists who drop in. There is always a layer of fine dust that comes in from Mehrauli Road, no matter how much we clean. It’s just part of being in this location. The staff here is small, just a few people who actually like being around art. We don’t have fancy uniforms or scripted greetings. We just talk to people who walk in the door like normal humans. Some days are very quiet, and we just sit and work on our computers or rearrange the displays. Other days it gets quite busy with visitors. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the road change quite a bit. It’s a unique spot to work in, especially with the history just a short walk away. We like the creaky floors and the high ceilings of our space. It’s not perfect, but it feels right for what we do. We just enjoy the art and the daily bustle of Mehrauli and the people.
