Shikha Art & Services

Our place is located at 4/350 in Govind Puri, right in the middle of everything in Kalkaji. Shikha Art & Services has been running from this spot for a good bit now. It is mostly a space where we get our hands dirty with different projects. Sometimes it’s painting, other times it is just helping people get their documents or basic service needs sorted out. The neighborhood is always loud and full of life, which keeps us going even on the long days. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to get things done. The walls are covered in old sketches and notes we’ve taken over the months. It’s not the cleanest looking place, but we know where everything is kept. People from the nearby blocks usually just walk in when they need something. We don't mind the interruptions much. It's nice to see familiar faces every day. We usually keep the doors open to let some air in, even if the dust comes with it. Working here feels right because it’s where we grew up. We just take one day at a time and try to finish the work that’s on the table. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. Most evenings we spend time tidying up the brushes and getting ready for the next morning.
