Lakshmi Sugar Mills Co Ltd

We work out of the Sidharth Building in Nehru Place, specifically in room 704 at number 96. If you have ever been to Nehru Place, you know it is a maze of buildings and people. Our office is on the seventh floor, so we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the elevators, which can be a bit slow during the middle of the day. Lakshmi Sugar Mills Co Ltd is not a big, flashy corporate headquarters. It is more of a practical space where we handle the administrative side of the sugar business. We have desks piled with papers, files related to different mills, and phones that ring fairly often. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on production numbers from the mills. It can get a bit hectic when it’s peak season, and we end up staying late to finish the accounts. We usually order lunch from one of the local spots nearby, and we eat while we work. The view from the window is mostly just other tall buildings and the busy streets below. It is a lot of hard work behind the scenes to keep things moving. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls; we just focus on making sure the sugar gets to where it needs to go and that everyone gets paid on time. It’s a bit of a grind, but it’s what we do.
