Harjymecs Ethnic Arts

At 50, National Park, you will find Harjymecs Ethnic Arts. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads. We use this space to store and handle all the different ethnic pieces we work with. The building is just a regular house that we’ve converted into a workspace. There are rooms filled with carvings, textiles, and other items we’ve collected. It’s often a bit messy because we are always packing or unpacking something. We don't have a storefront with big windows. You just have to come to number 50 and ring the bell. Usually, one of us is around to let you in. We spend a lot of time checking the items for any damage and wrapping them up carefully. It’s a small operation and we do most things ourselves. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. We just like the things we handle and want to make sure they get to where they’re going. Sometimes we sit in the small courtyard and have a break when the sun is out. National Park is a nice neighborhood to be in. We’ve been here for several years now and the neighbors know us. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just a steady pace of work. We handle the paperwork on an old desk in the corner and try to stay on top of everything.
