Famous Art Palace

Famous Art Palace is located right on M.G. Main Road in Ghitorni, directly across from the Tata Nirman Kendra. It’s a big, open space that feels more like a warehouse than a palace, despite the name. we have all sorts of art and decorative pieces sitting on the floor and leaning against the walls. Because we are on a main road, there is a lot of dust that comes in, so we spend a fair amount of time with a duster in hand. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We usually just keep the big front doors open to let the air circulate. The people who work here are just local guys who know where everything is kept. We don't really follow a strict schedule; we open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. There are no fancy sales tactics here. If you like something, you can take a look at it for as long as you want. Some of the statues we have are very heavy, and moving them around takes a lot of effort and a few extra hands. We’ve seen many other shops come and go on this road, but we’ve managed to stay put. It’s a simple life, mostly spent talking to people who walk in and making sure the items are kept in decent shape. It’s just how we run things here in Ghitorni.
