Down in East Of Kailash, specifically at Dushara Mohalla Garhi 149, is where you will find Elfreda Arts. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the lanes here, but once you find number 149, you’ll see our workspace. It’s a busy area, especially around the Dushara ground when there are festivals. The shop itself is a mix of all kinds of art materials, frames, and half-finished projects. It’s definitely not a corporate office; there are paint marks on the tables and bits of scrap material on the floor. We spend our days cutting, measuring, and putting things together. The light in the mohalla isn't always the best, so we have some extra lamps around the benches. Elfreda Arts is just a small local name that has been part of this neighborhood for a while. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. People just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. It can get pretty cramped when we have a big project taking up the main table, but we make it work. Sometimes we sit outside for a tea break when the street is a little quieter. The work is mostly manual and takes a lot of patience. We just keep our heads down and focus on whatever is on the bench that day. It’s a local way of living and we like it that way.
