Diplomats Gallery

Our place is at A-5 in Shivalik, right on the Panchsheel-Geetanjali Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of traffic passing by the front. We call it a gallery, but it’s really just where we keep all the items we’ve gathered over time. The walls are mostly covered with whatever we have in stock at the moment. It isn't one of those places where everything is perfectly spaced out with bright lights. It feels more like someone’s large living room that got a bit out of hand. We spend a lot of time dusting things off because the road outside brings in a lot of grit. People stop in while they are walking to the market or waiting for a ride. We like to chat, but we don't push anyone to buy things they don't need. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, maybe even a bit too slow on Tuesday afternoons. We’ve got some regular customers who just come in to see if anything new arrived since last month. The air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise when it’s hot out, but it keeps the place cool enough. We keep a ledger for the sales and try to remember everyone's name. It’s just a small local business trying to keep the doors open and the shelves full. Nothing more to it than that.
