Bengal Art

You can find us at Paras Nath Plaza in Sector 27, right near the Fortune Hotel. Our spot is Plot No Ug/19, which isn't the biggest place, but we make it work for Bengal Art. We spend a lot of our time surrounded by frames and different pieces that people bring in or that we’ve gathered over time. It’s a bit of a quiet corner of the plaza, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on the details of a project. Most of the folks who stop by are just locals from around Sector 27 or people staying at the hotel who happen to wander in. We aren't trying to be some high-end gallery with fancy lights; it’s more of a working space where things actually get made. There’s usually a bit of a mess with scraps of paper or bits of wood on the floor, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We’ve been at this for a while now and we’ve seen the plaza change as new shops come and go. We just keep doing our thing in our little unit. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes your hands get a bit dirty, but seeing a finished piece makes it worth the effort. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who care about the work and like being around art all day. It’s a decent way to spend the time without any corporate fuss.
