Art View India is right in the middle of Hauz Khas Village at number 3. If you know the area, you know it’s a mix of old history and new shops. Our space is tucked into one of the buildings there. It’s not a huge gallery with white walls and spotlights. It feels more like a lived-in room with art scattered around. We spend a lot of time just arranging things and talking to the people who wander in from the narrow lanes. The village is always full of students, tourists, and locals, so we see a lot of different faces. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just open the windows and keep going. We don't have a fancy brochure or a slick sales pitch. We just show what we have and let people look around at their own pace. There’s usually some tea being shared in a corner. The walls are a bit uneven because the building is old, but that adds to the charm, we think. We don't try to be too formal. Most of the time, we are just sitting around discussing the latest pieces we've found. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, far from the polished offices in the newer parts of Delhi. We like being part of the village community and just doing our thing day by day. Even when the weekend crowds get a bit too much, we enjoy the energy of being here.
