Art Lands

If you walk down Lajpat Nagar I, near the metro crossing, you will find us at D 138. The name on the sign is Art Lands. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the street and people rushing to catch the train. Inside, though, things are a bit more settled. We have a lot of different items packed into the shop. It isn't a huge place, so we have to stack things high on the shelves to make it all fit. I spend a lot of time making sure things don't fall over when we're moving stuff around. We have been here at this address for a long time. The floor is a bit worn out in the spots where people stand the most, and the door creaks when you open it. We don't mind it much. It feels like a real shop that has seen some use over the years. Most of our day is spent helping people find what they need or unpacking new stock that arrives in big cardboard boxes. There is always something to do, whether it's sweeping the front or checking the labels. We keep it simple here at Art Lands. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just the things we sell and a counter where we talk to folks who stop by. It's a regular local business and we're just doing our best to keep it going.
