Ahuja Carpets

We are tucked away in Bhardwaj Plaza, room 106, right at 85-A Jamrudpur in G.K.-1. Most people know this area is quite busy, so finding a parking spot can be a real headache if you come at the wrong time of day. Our space here is filled with rolls of carpets of all different sizes and weights. It can get quite heavy moving them around, and by the end of the day, our backs usually let us know about it. At Ahuja Carpets, we don't really have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have shelves and stacks that go almost up to the ceiling. It can feel a bit crowded when we get a new shipment in, and we have to shuffle everything around to make room. The air always has that faint smell of wool and textiles, which you get used to after a few days of working here. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in looking for something for their floors. It is practical work, and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than it is. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is basically the most important piece of equipment we own during the winter months. The floor is mostly covered in scraps, but we manage to keep the main area clear enough for walking through.
