Karunamaya Enterprise

This place is out on Sevoke Road in the Devidanga area. We are quite close to Champasari here in the Darjeeling district. It’s a nice enough area, though it gets a lot of rain sometimes. We run our enterprise from here, mostly dealing with local supplies and whatever people in the neighborhood need. The building is simple and easy to find if you know the road. We have been in this spot for a bit now. There is a lot of truck movement around here because of where we are situated. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the next shipment. Other days are a complete mess with everyone shouting at once. We don't mind. It's just how the business works. We keep our records in big books mostly, though we have a computer now too. My nephew handles that part because I still prefer paper. The air is okay when it's not too dusty from the road construction. People stop by to ask directions or to see if we have certain items in stock. We just tell them what we have and what we don't. No point in making it complicated. It's a straightforward life here. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It works for us and we've built a good life here in Devidanga over the years. We just keep doing what we know and helping out the people who come by.
