Down here in Hamirpur, specifically around Bagwara and the Tauni Devi area, life moves at its own pace. Him Darshan Farmers Producer Company Limited started because a few of us in the Bhoranj tehsil were tired of the same old problems year after year. Our registered address is right in Vpo Bagwara, which is where most of our local activity happens. We aren’t some big corporation from the city. We are just neighbors who grow crops and want to see our village do well. Hamirpur gets pretty warm compared to the higher mountains, and that brings its own set of challenges for the land. We talk about irrigation, seeds, and how to get a fair shake when it comes time to sell what we’ve grown. It is mostly about looking out for one another and sharing what we know. Sometimes we get together to discuss new ways to handle the soil or just to complain about the monkeys that bother the fields. It isn’t always easy, and we make mistakes along the way, but we are learning as we go. This company is our way of staying connected and making sure that the farmers in this part of Himachal Pradesh don't get left behind. We don't have a big staff, just the local families who are invested in making this work. It feels right to be doing something for our own community here in the valley.
