Right at 96 Nizam Ganj in Tilhar is where we set up, which is part of the Shahjahanpur district. Sarvoday Kisan Producer Company Limited was started to help the local kisan get a better handle on their business and sales. Tilhar is a busy little area, and being near the Bareilly side means there is always something moving on the main roads. We spend a lot of time in the office at Nizam Ganj just sorting through papers and talking to the people who walk in with questions. It is not a polished operation by any means. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint and the furniture is getting a bit old, but it works just fine for what we need. We focus on what the farmers are growing and how we can get it to the market without too much trouble or cost. Shahjahanpur has a lot of agriculture going on, so there is never a shortage of work to do. We deal with the seasons as they come. Winter is usually a bit more manageable than the monsoon time when the roads get very muddy and hard to travel on. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big claims or fancy words. We just want to do our job properly and go home to our families at night. It is a practical life for us. We know almost everyone in the neighborhood, and they know where to find us if they have a problem with their harvest. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
