We’ve lived here our whole lives, and farming is all we know. This company isn't some corporate invention. It’s just a group of us who got tired of the way things were going. We decided to pool our resources so we could buy things in bulk and maybe save a few rupees here and there. Malkeet’s place is usually where we all gather to figure things out. There’s always someone there with a tractor problem or someone worried about the pests. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to work our land and get a fair price for the crops we grow. It’s hard work, and sometimes it feels like the whole world is against the small farmer, but being part of this group makes it a bit easier. We share what we know and help each other out when things get tough. It’s just a bunch of neighbors looking out for one another in Dadraul. We don't have an office with air conditioning, just the shade of the trees and a lot of determination to keep our way of life going. It’s simple, it’s local, and it’s just how we do things around here.
