Koski Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by a group of us here in Shajahanpur. We are based out of the Krishna Nagar Colony area, specifically at Sri D.K. Gupta’s place. It’s a local setup for local farmers. We all live in and around Shajahanpur and have been working the land here for quite a while now. The idea for the company came up because we wanted to be more independent. Instead of everyone doing their own thing and struggling, we decided to pool our resources together. It helps when we need to buy supplies like seeds or when it's finally time to sell what we’ve grown all season. We don't have a big staff, just the farmers themselves taking turns handling the paperwork when we have a spare moment. Life in Uttar Pradesh is centered around agriculture, and we are just a small part of that huge picture. We try to keep things simple and honest. You won't find any corporate talk or polished speeches here. We are more comfortable talking about the crops and the seasons than business strategies or marketing plans. Most of the time, we are busy in the fields or checking on the storage sheds. The Krishna Nagar location is just where we keep the records and meet up to talk over tea. It's a practical arrangement that works for our group. We are just trying to keep our farming traditions alive while making sure the business side of things doesn't get too messy or confusing.
