Yashanka Farmers Producer Company Limited operates out of Wangi, specifically at Jalindar Yashvant Mali’s place. It is in the Kadegaon area of Sangli. It is a standard rural setup. We do not have a big corporate building or anything like that. We just use the space we have here in the village. Wangi is a place where everybody knows everybody, so when we started this company, people were not surprised. We spend our mornings checking on things and our afternoons dealing with the ledgers. It is a lot of back and forth between the fields and the desk. Jalindar’s house is where we keep all the files and where the meetings happen. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a few of us are trying to sort out the logistics for the next month. The roads around here can be a bit rough after a heavy rain, but that is just life in Sangli. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We are just a group of people from around Wangi trying to manage our farming business together. It feels more like a community project than a big company. We talk about the weather, the soil, and how to get things to the market without losing too much money. It is honest work. There is nothing flashy about it. We just keep showing up and doing what needs to happen to keep the company going. It is a slow process but we are getting through it.
