Walwa Farmers Chamber Of Commerce Industries And Agriculture

We are over here at house number 1631/71 in Islampur. It is right in the Walwa taluka of Sangli district. This place was set up because the farmers around here needed a way to talk about business and agriculture without all the big city red tape. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the everyday things that happen on the farms in our district. It gets busy during the harvest season. Sometimes people just stop by to ask about what is happening in the local market. The office is not very fancy, but it works for what we need to do. Most of us grew up in this area, so we know the soil and the weather pretty well. It is not always easy running a chamber of commerce for agriculture, especially when the rains are late or the prices are low at the mandi. We just try to keep things moving along for the local industries. It is about making sure the work gets done. We handle a mix of stuff, from trade issues to just regular farming problems. It is a local effort through and through. We do not have a big staff, just a few people who know the land. That is how we have always operated around here. It is practical and simple. Everyone knows everyone in a place like this, so we don't need to put on a show. We just keep our heads down and focus on the crops and the commerce side of things.
