Utrane Parisar Farmer Producer Company Limited

The Utrane Parisar Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Rajpurdane. We use a space at Dadaji Tryambak Pagargat’s place at Gat No 162/1. It is mostly just a room with some old desks and a lot of registers where we write down the weights of the bags. We are a bunch of farmers from around here who got tired of selling our crops for next to nothing. So, we started this company to see if we could get a bit more control over our own lives. It is not easy, and none of us really went to business school or anything like that. We just know how to grow things and how much hard work it takes. Sometimes we spend hours arguing about which market to send the trucks to. It gets loud and we drink way too much tea during the meetings. The office is usually a mess of sample bags and paperwork that we need to file eventually. We are still figuring out the taxes and all those official things. It feels a bit strange to call ourselves directors when our hands are still calloused from the fields. We just want to make sure the families in our area can keep their land and not go into debt. It is a small operation, and we do not have any big investors. It is just our own money and our own sweat. That is how it is at Rajpurdane. We are just local people trying to survive.
