Universal Agrotech Farmer Producer Company is situated on Vishnu Galli in Tasgaon. If you know the Sangli area, you know Tasgaon is famous for its grapes, and that’s a big part of our life here. Our office at 325 Vishnu Galli is right in the thick of it. It’s a busy little street, and we often have farmers dropping by just to chat about the market or the latest pests they’ve seen in their vineyards. We started this company because we saw a need for farmers to work together rather than separately. It’s not a polished operation; there’s usually some mud on the floor and stacks of crates outside. We spend our mornings talking to the guys in the fields and our afternoons trying to get the paperwork done for the bank. Tasgaon is a place where you can’t really get away from farming, even if you wanted to. We are just local people who know the soil here and want to see our community do okay. Our office is small, and we don't have any fancy decorations, just the essentials. We focus on the practical side of things, like getting supplies and finding buyers. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we’re used to it. If you’re ever walking down Vishnu Galli, you’ll see our sign and probably hear us talking shop.
