Thombre Paul Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Vitthalrao Thombare’s place in Morewadi. It’s a small village setup where the business is very much part of the local life. We are a group of farmers who wanted to take more control over our work. Morewadi is a quiet place, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We don't have a big corporate structure. It is mostly just Vitthalrao and a few of us sitting down to plan out the season. Our office is really just a part of the home where we keep the ledgers and the receipts. We aren't looking to be some huge industry leader. We just want to make sure the people in Morewadi can sell their crops without getting cheated. It’s a lot of hard work and the days start very early, often before the sun is even up. We talk about the soil, the seeds, and the pests more than we talk about profits. It is a very down-to-earth way of running things. We don't use big words or fancy slogans. If you come by, you’ll see we are just regular people in work clothes trying to manage the harvest. Sometimes the paperwork is a struggle, but we get through it together. It’s about the community and making sure the farmers here get what they deserve for their hard labor in the fields. We just do our best.
