Sumanraj Agro Processing Private Limited is located over in Itkare, which is part of the Walwa taluka in Sangli. We’ve got our setup at house number 962. It isn't a massive factory, just a place where we take what’s grown in the fields and get it ready for sale. We deal with a lot of the local produce from the farms around Sangli. Farming is one thing, but processing it so it doesn't rot is a whole different job. We spend our days cleaning, sorting, and packing stuff. It gets pretty dusty and loud when the machines are running. We aren't trying to be some huge international brand. We just live here and work here. Most of the people working with us are from the same village. We know the families who grow the crops, so we try to do right by them. Sometimes the machines break down right when we need them most, or the electricity goes out for a few hours. That's just part of life in Itkare. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the work in front of us. If the crop is good, we have a busy season. If it’s a bad year for the farmers, it’s a quiet year for us. We just take it as it comes and try to keep the business moving forward as best as we can.
