Shirgaonkar Agro Producer Company Limited is located in Shirgaon, which is in the Walwa taluka of the Sangli district. Our office is at the home of Bajarang H Pawar. Sangli is famous for its sugarcane and grapes, and that’s what we mostly deal with here. We are a group of local farmers who decided that we could do more if we joined forces. The office isn't much to look at; it’s just a place for us to gather and handle the business side of things. We aren't corporate people, and we don't have any fancy degrees. Everything we know about farming and business comes from our own experience on the land. We spend a lot of time talking about irrigation and how to get a good yield from our soil. It’s a very hands-on operation. When you walk into our office, you’ll probably see some soil samples on the table and some local guys talking loudly about the latest market rates. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just want to help the farmers in Shirgaon get a fair shake. It’s an honest, local business run by people who know the value of a day’s work in the fields. We’ve lived here all our lives, and we care about our neighbors.
