This is Padmadeep Farmers Producer Companylimited, located right in Gardi village in the Khanapur area of Sangli. We are just a group of people from the village who decided to register this company to help ourselves out with the farming business. It’s a quiet place here and we don’t have much in the way of big offices. We mostly meet at the post area or someone’s house to figure out the week’s work. Farming in Sangli has its ups and downs, especially with the water and the market rates for what we grow. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and what the traders are saying in the city. It’s hard work and honestly, some days are better than others. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us trying to keep things moving. We handle the paperwork and try to get better prices for the produce from our fields. If you come by Gardi, you can just ask around for us. Most people know who we are since we all grew up around here. We are just trying to make a living and help the other farmers in the village do the same without getting cheated by the middlemen too much. It is a simple setup, nothing fancy, just practical work for people who know the soil. We aren't looking to change the world, just to make sure we can keep farming year after year.
